You're never too little, in body or voice, to make the world a happier place.

Something quick and little for spirit day and for myself since spirit day is always around my birthday. It's a bit of a self portrait, and a bit in response to what happened around Amanda Todd. After I heard what happened the story about her on the news, I cried for hours and knew I was going to have to do a piece to get my feelings out.

I'm wearing so much purple today my great-grandma said I looked like a giant plum! My other clothes are green with envy /bricked

I'd like to also use this space to recommend Laci Green's Sex+ channel, you can find her on youtube. She covers pretty much everything you could want to know from social issues, to sexuality, body image, relationships, and sexual health, all from a positive and open minded perspective.

Like the person below me said, she was also from the same city as me which brings it a lot closer to home. She had been suicidal before and drank bleach, and instead of offering her support her peers told her to go drink more and that they hoped she died the next time.

I felt that her story fit into the theme of spirit day as her bullying as very much based on her sexuality, and gender, and if she had been a male she likely wouldn't have been treated with such hate.

There is also news articles all over the internet, if you just google her name you'll find a lot.
